Chemical Engineer - Chemical Process Engineer - Southeast / Gulf Coast
MUST HAVE Process Management/manufacturing experience of at least 1 to 2 years. You must have PRIOR industry experience.
Experience with one or all of the following is a plus: complex chemical manufacturing, continuous manufacturing process, refinery, chemical plant experience, capital improvement experience, fractionating columns, fractional distallation and other complex continuous chemical manufacturing processes is a plus.
DUTIES:
Responsibilities encompass the design, installation, operation, maintenance, modification, construction, modernization, and protection of physical facilities and equipment in a heavy industrialized environment. .
Produce timelines for assigned projects.
Work on all facets of project improvements
Provide modeling and cost estimates.
Work with outside vendors on projects
Works to provide technical assistance, process improvement, and manufacturing support for production.
*Works to develop and prioritize process improvement needs
*Works to develop, implement, and support new processes for the site.
*Keeps up with technology and engineering resources to help put projects into place.
*Aims to develop, put into place, and provide support for new processes for the site.
*Be able to follow all procedures related to safety and quality.
*Be able to work either independently or as part of a team in order to increase production capacity, improve product yield, reduce energy requirements, and provide safer operations.
*Will be able to troubleshoot and identify root causes of operational problems as well as be able to analyze data.
*Help with definition and implementation of capital projects that will result in process improvements or increased capacity.
*Apply sound process economics analysis principles to determine and document project values.
*Be able to manage several projects at the same time and communicate with stakeholders on a regular basis.
* Knowledge of operation of chemical production trains (continuous units). Unit operations include distallation filtration, evaporation, and reactors.
* Extensive interaction and involvement with the operators.
* Provide technical direction and process trouble shooting
* Assists in ensuring compliance with Federal and State Environmental Regulations
* Project assignments to effect improvement in unit evaluation, process efficiencies, product quality, on-stream factor & cost.
* Will be responsible for an enhancement project to the Control Systems
REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Chemical Engineering is Preferred
* open to ALL degrees in chemical engineering -will look at bachelors, masters, Phd or MBA with chemical engineering bachelors
* BS Chemical Engineering degree with 1 plus years in the chemical industry or related manufacturing process.
* Good production experience, supervisory background a plus.
*Must have a degree in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering school.
*Candidate will have direct experience with process support for batch or continuous chemical production.
* The more years of experience in a chemical manufacturing facility is a plus.
