Our client is a worldwide leader in the oil and gas pipeline maintenance, inspection and repair business. They provide critical products and services to their customers that enable them to maintain and operate their facilities and equipment in a safe and productive manner with over 220 locations throughout the world. Due to their continued growth we are conducting a search for a Global Director of Products and Services base in their Houston, TX location. The Service Line Director is responsible for defining and creating the Product & Service Lines strategies through standardized execution, improved commercial performance and by managing the product-service lifecycle. Reporting to a Vice President responsibilities include:
  • Developing, improving,  standardization and adoption of processes and operating procedures for their domestic and international pipeline field service operations
  • Managing and improving the P&L by improving field service and business development
  • Identification of improvements needed to existing or development of  new pipeline products and services based on customer and market needs, define new markets, define competitive analysis
  • Maintaining a high level of safety by adhering to Company’s safety standards and practices
  • Develop overall growth and operations strategy for pipeline service business
  • Manage, coach and develop line Managers and their service teams, define commercial training
  • Approve equipment standards and maintenance
  • Support Job Walks, Quotes and Bids
  • Approve large purchases and CAPEX
  • Review Field Audits and Competency Development and Critical Job Reviews
  • Define KPI’s Key Performance Indicators, pricing and margins
  • Defining Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Defining Pricing and Margins
  • Reviewing Win/Loss/Pending Tracking and Analysis
  • Supporting Job Walks, Quotes and Bid Support
  • Defining Commercial Training
  • Defining Competitive Analysis being voice of the customer
  • Defining New Markets and Services, recommend acquisitions and strategic alliances
  • Leading Industry Representation and Influence
  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
  • Ten (10) years in the oil and gas or energy industry providing products and or services
  • Five (5) years of supervisory and/or training experience required
  • Experience developing, standardizing and implementing best practices
  • Ability to understand profit and loss statements and communicate results
  • Ability to travel to national and/or international District offices and customer sites to perform assigned duties
