Land Administration Manager (Sole Contributor)
In-depth experience in Lease Administration and Land Data Management.  Strong understanding of all Land Department processes, and the inter-department processes with Accounting and other departments.

Lease and Title

In-depth knowledge and ability to accurately analyze oil and gas leases, assignments, title opinions, curative documents, and surface agreements.   Good understanding of common Land Contracts and other legal instruments affecting leasehold interests and status of acreage.
Work independently in analyzing and interpreting all types of lease payment provisions, ensuring obligations are properly set-up in the system.
Experience with producing properties. Understanding of well spacing and units, and well statuses.  Ability to analyze and determine the correct lease and tract statuses (: Non-producing, Producing / Developed, HBP / Undeveloped).
Ability to analyze complex leasehold ownership scenarios, and accurately establish lease tract ownership in BOLO.  (ie:  ownership variances by depth, and other contractual arrangements affecting leasehold interests).
Experience with Fee, Federal and State Lands, and working knowledge in coordinating with applicable State and Federal agencies on various matters affecting leases.
Flexible, ability to multi-task; adaptable to changes in priorities and work projects.
Accuracy and consistency in work product is critical; dependable and accountable. Follows and applies policy and procedures.
Self-motivated; ability to work independently in handling day-to-day responsibilities and meeting deadlines; but also works well in a team based environment.
Proficiency with BOLO Land Software is preferred.  Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word.  Experience with integrated land mapping software is a plus.
 Division Order
Build and maintain Master Decks (BOLO’s record title DOIs) for operated properties, as well as build and maintain JIB and Revenue Decks (which can be copied from Master Decks and manipulated for payout situations)

Analyze leases, contracts, title opinions, and county records to calculate the interests for the above-described DO
  • managing before/after penalty payout situations and multiple payouts of the same property
  • determining working interests and burdens associated with interests
  • assigning appropriate pay status codes based on title requirements
  • Draft and maintain spreadsheets to track the status of title requirements for DO/Revenue requirements (work with Land to define Land/Drilling requirements and DO/Revenue requirements)
  • Resolve or assist with complex title curative issues
  • Resolve owner interest discrepancies
