This position will report directly to the Land Administration Manager and located in our Houston office. Primary responsibility of the position is to establish and maintain lease records information in a system and provide administrative support for the Land Department as needed.
 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as Lease Analyst. Experience should include setting up and maintaining lease and contract records in land system
  • Must be proficient in payment of delay rentals, ROW's, recording of legal documents and Title Opinion interpretation
  • Some knowledge of division order process as well as exposure to Enertia systems software preferred
  • Excellent interaction and communication with landowner, royalty and working interest owners is necessary
  • Proficient in MS Office suite skills; strong internet and document research skills
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills as well as excellent math skills
  • Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
  • Must be self-disciplined, able to work independently with little or no supervision and to appropriately prioritize work, but also be able to work well with others
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze, setup and maintain lease information in land system
  • Research lease, contracts and provisions as needed
  • Prepare and maintain lease and contract files
  • Prepare monthly obligation calendars for payment obligations such as lease rentals, ROW's and/or minimum royalty payments as well as any lease contract obligations
  • Prepare and monitor land AFEs, check requests and wire transfers as needed
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure payments are accurately and timely processed
  • Communicate and correspond with landowners, working and royalty interest owners
  • Coordinate information with Land, Accounting and Engineering personnel as needed
  • Recording of legal documents
  • Generate acreage and obligation/rental reports upon request
  • Provide administrative support to Land Department as needed
