Job Description
Catalyst Research Chemist / Homogeneous or Heterogeneous Catalysis

Needed by one of the largest petrochemical companies operating R&D laboratories globally in 40 countries and with an annual revenue of approximately 30 billion US dollars.
 
Seeking an experienced and innovative research scientist to support and lead further catalyst discovery, synthesis, development and scale-up.

Join this dynamic team in discovering and developing catalyst and processes designed to manufacture commodity chemicals from petrochemical feedstocks.

LOCATION: Houston, TX
SALARY RANGE: $80,000 - $150,000
 
REQUIREMENTS:

* Master’s Degree in either Chemistry or Chemical Engineering / PhD Preferred.
* Minimum 5 years experience in homogeneous or heterogeneous catalysts as typically used in petrochemical processes and a record of successful innovation.
* Experience in working with catalyst vendors in scale-up of catalyst preparations would be helpful.
* Must be effective in working with creative and talented scientists in a dynamic and constructive team environment to solve problems and help create new technologies.
* Experience with instrumented metal reactors is a definite plus.
* Computer literacy and competence with analytical instrumentation is expected.
* Excellent communications skills and should enjoy a hands-on work situation.
