Job Description:
The Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering at the American University in Cairo seeks one tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor beginning in the Fall 2010. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to teaching in the areas of Drilling and preferably Production and Workover engineering within the Bachelor of Petroleum Program at the American University in Cairo, as well as to establish and pursue a research focus in these areas. Preference will be given to candidates who can also cover other related areas in petroleum and energy engineering.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Doctoral Degree in Petroleum Engineering or an allied field. They should have excellent academic capabilities with strong university/industry interrelations, proven applied research record, and ability to generate research funds. Candidates with North American or similar experience will have priority.
