DescriptionThe Manager, System Integration/Automation Department will be responsible for the integration of customer field instrumentation, located in oil fields of customers, transmission of the data to the required host location, typically in an operations office, and presentation of that data to the customer to meet their requirements. Will require interfacing of both electrical and mechanical instrumentation as part of the operations.
The Manager will: *Be responsible for control products designed and manufactured by the company to achieve performance and cost targets. *Manage and establish department budget within company guidelines. *Manage personnel in department to focus direction on achieving projects in established timeframes and on budget to support company requirements. *Establish standard procedures to be used to achieve consistent project development in integration projects. *Lead the effort to establish overall direction for growth in integration/automation department. *Be responsible for proper direction of all projects in the department. *Work with other departments in the company to ensure successful integration of projects into the company plan.
Duties: *This position will be responsible for helping to establish new control products specifications and the design of the control products as approved by the company. *This position will interface with international customers and must be able to clearly express and communicate project information. *Must be able to establish and develop fully functional specification for bids and interface with customers. *Must be willing and able to use off the shelf technology and/or as well as, in house developed technology to meet customer specifications to provide the most cost effective solution.
Requirements: *Must have a minimum of 10 years integration/automation experience in managing field integration projects. *Must be able to demonstrate field project experience of integration automation projects successfully. *Must have experience and past budget responsibility. *Must have technical degree from University, preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Must have BS degree as minimum. *Must be up to date on the latest integration/automation technology to keep the company abreast of the latest technology to meet customer requirements. *Experience with the design and integration of sensor technology such as for the measurement and transmission (wired or wireless) of data such as temperature, pressure, levels, switch or valve status (open/closed), flow, flow rates, etc., is highly desirable.
