Job Description
RESERVOIR ENGINEERING JOBS
LOCATION:
Houston, TX
SALARY:
$
150,000 to $200,000
Depending On Experience / Seniority
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides oil and gas reserve estimates and future production schedules on reserves.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Develop optimization plans for existing fields and coordinate implementation of same
* Prepare reserve estimates and risked economics for workovers, well service jobs and new facility or facility expansion projects
* Design, coordinated and analyze pressure transit and well performance tests
* Work with geologists to prepare risked reserve estimates and economics for drilling prospects
* Monitor performance of existing production and make recommendations to enhance same
* Steward booked reserves and work as needed to revise and update
* Provide production forecasts as needed to help with design and upgrades of downhole equipment, flowlines, pipelines, compressors and other facilities
* Perform field studies to determine value for acquisitions or divestitures
* Perform other reservoir engineering studies as needed
REQUIRED MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
* Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
* Intermediate knowledge of ARIES, PowerTools, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree
* Minimum 5 years related experience.
